2. Obtaining Permits With Local Fire Marshal

To make the process as simple as possible we will inspect the proposed site to ensure we have the adequate distance from spectators, buildings, and special hazards in accordance with state law. We use this information to submit a permit to the local fire marshal for approval.

3. Lets get you on the books!

Once the permits have been obtained we will finalize your contract where you will make your non refundable reservation deposit. We take on the heavy lifting from here and start preparations for your custom fireworks display!

4. Set up on The day of the show

On the day of the show a licensed professional crew will arrive to set up your custom display. The crew will meet with the local fire authorities to ensure the site is safe and all crew members are properly prepared. A lead operator will be present at all times until the display is over and site has been cleaned. Only the crew, fire department, and the event host will be allowed in this area.

That Perfect Moment

You’ll sit back and enjoy a perfect moment with your events attendees. After the display the crew will break down the site and clean the immediate area. Perennial Pyrotechnics will also return the next day to check for any fireworks materials that could have been missed the night before.

Frequently asked questions.

Aren’t Fireworks Illegal in North Carolina?

That is correct, any firework that leaves the ground is illegal in the State of North Carolina unless you are licensed through the NC Office of State Fire Marshall to use display fireworks.

What are the general rules and regulations?

In order to have a fireworks display we will need to examine the proposed shooting site to ensure adequate distance for safety. Then we apply for a permit with the local fire marshal. Every display is required to have a state licensed display operator present at all times. The company will follow The National Fire Prevention Act 1123 which establishes the code for fireworks displays in North Carolina. This code includes the minimum safety distance from crowds/buildings, proper handling of fireworks, and procedures to ensure a safe display for all parties involved.

How long does a fireworks display last?

Most displays for events are usually around 5-20 minutes long. The length of a fireworks display depends on a variety of factors including the space available for the display and the clients budget. Larger fireworks for high level shows require more space and involve more expensive transportation and handling cost.

Where can I have a fireworks display?

The state law requires a minimum separation distance of 150 feet diameter from any structure or crowd for safety. Generally we will need 75 feet of clearance per inch of the largest firework used in the display, which range from less than 1 inch(150 ft) to 6 inches(420 ft). As long as we have at least 75 feet from people and buildings we can have a show!

What is the average starting price for a display?

Most fireworks displays cost around $500-$1000 a minute depending on the space available and the size of the shells used in the display. This includes the display, professional crew, transportation of fireworks, permits, set up/breakdown, and clean up of the show.
